Credit Union Website Photos Project

Advantage Plus Federal Credit Union Website: Homepage Carousel Photography

Eldred Design // Spring 2019

I took these photos for a federal credit union website project my father (a freelance designer) was a part of. The idea was to have some imagery representing Terre Haute, Indiana, to give the new website a close-to-home look and feel. This was something I completed my senior year of high school as a part of my design internship with my dad. I have loved photography for a very long time, so this was an opportunity to use my skills in tandem with design for one of the very first times. Though the website is outdated now, I am happy to see my early work still relevant.

Baesler's Market Photography Project

Baesler’s Market Parade Banner & Hot Deli Sign: Photography

Eldred Design // Spring 2019

For these pieces, I only take ownership of the photography involved. Baesler’s Market is another client of my father’s, and I am happy to report that this is another instance of my design/marketing-focused photography still being in use. The photo I organized and captured of the owner and his son is still used in their weekly ad, and the hot deli sign with a photo of Baesler’s chicken is also still hanging in the store. For both of these projects, it was a practice in taking charge on my own and trying something new to turn out a marketing asset on a deadline. I also learned what's important in photography-based design: not only taking a clean, striking photograph, but also allowing for some breathing room, being cognizant of the composition, and controlling external factors like lighting and bedside manner with clients.
